Anyone else’s mental health gone to absolute shit during lockdown 🤷♀️
Your not alone! My brain has been such a knob at time’s one minute I’m fine I’m loving the day I’ve got loads done and I feel ok and then the next minute it feels like I’m annoying everyone and doing their head in feel like people are talking about me and pretending to be nice, talk about whiplash brain!
Like millions of other people in the world I’m no stranger in struggling with my mental health and writing this I’m not looking for sympathy, I’m writing to let others know your not on your own with your thoughts and how your feeling and we shouldn’t be ashamed of it and keep it hidden, we all know that only makes it worse I’m the worst offender of this so I need to listen to my own advice!
I have days where I wake up and think I can’t do this anymore during lockdown I’ve had this feeling a few time’s but only once did I start to worry myself because my own brain spent the whole day telling me what’s the point? Why are we even bothering! I spent the whole day thinking of ways I could make sure my kids were safe, how I could go and sort myself out once and for all and how it wouldn’t be a family member who found me, I had these thoughts going threw my brain all day by the time I went to bed and my daughter was laying next to me fast asleep I still couldn’t get them to stop no matter what I did, the one and only time I’ve genuinely considered acting on these thoughts just for them to stop going round my brain and it scared the absolute shit out of me! At this point I should of rang someone and spoke about it but I didn’t I forced myself to go to sleep and in the morning my brain was still being a dick but I didn’t have the suicidal thoughts running around strong in there, at this point I think of all the people I’ve lost to suicide who had them thoughts so strong they acted on them and wonder if they’d just gone to bed would they still be here or done it at a later date? I’m forever telling people who feel the same to talk to me anytime but at that moment you don’t want to speak to anyone or see anyone but I urge you to just sleep on it for one more night and then see how you feel in the morning and if you still feel the same talk to someone please.
If your struggling please talk to someone I’ve got a Facebook search fatbirdthinking and pm me or pm me on instagram @fatbirdthinking or even email me fatbirdthinking@outlook.com I will happily talk till silly o’clock or send you memes to keep your mind busy or even come and sit with you in the hospital and wait for you to be seen by the crisis team!
Please remember your not alone and to talk don’t bottle it all up
